We bought the house in January 2007 and spent 5 months completely renovating both the interior and exterior to high exacting standards, using professional builders, architects and interior designers. All furniture, appliances and linen are brand new, wooden floors throughout are newly sanded and varnished, the kitchen has a new slate floor and the deck is newly built - the place is immaculate. |
Apart from the stunning house itself the beauty of Dartmouth House is it's position, 3 minutes walk from the heart of Dartmouth, the house is set in an elevated position with panoramic views of the Dart Estuary, Kingswear and surrounding countryside and out to sea. There is a garden over three levels giving uninterrupted vistas for miles both upstream toward the ocean and downstream toward Dittisham. The property is outlined in red in the photo above.
We have created a beautiful 4 bedroomed 2 wash roomed house set over 3 floors. All the main rooms enjoy the 180 degree view from big picture windows. There is a large lounge on the first floor with comfy seating for everyone. On the ground floor you will find the kitchen breakfast room with newly built kitchen area and large table with seating leading out on to the newly built deck. The kitchen has all new modern amenities including washing machine, microwave, large oven and dishwasher - although doing the dishes enjoying the view from the window would be no hardship!
